#Cabernetday + #Tempranilloday. Some of the bottles we will be talking about today (wine #2)

A selection of incredible wines that we'll be talking about today: #Cabernetday + #Tempranilloday.

The requirements here are:
  1. Must be a single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, or Tempranillo
  2. Must have at least 50% of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, or Tempranillo (if a blend)
  3. Must be a damn good wine!

Blend:Tempranillo 90% - Viura 10%
Vintage: 1995
Alcohol %:13.5%
Price: US$ 65.00
Medium brick-edged red. Incredibly complex, ethereal aromas of raspberry, currant, tobacco, tar and smoke, with an element of dried fruits. Like an essence of Rioja in the mouth: suave, complex and gripping. Dried berry and plum flavors complemented by smoke and coconut from the oak. Reminded me of a Lopez de Heredia wine but with more body. The wine's firm structure is perfectly buffered by flesh. Very ripe and very long on the aftertaste. Up there with the great 1991 in quality.

Go ahead and celebrate #Cabernetday & Tempranilloday!
Cheers,
LA
