PARTIDA "The FERRARI of ANEJO TEQUILAS" by Philip S. Kampe

I am a veteran TEQUILA drinker. I have been sampling TEQUILA for the past 15 years and have found numerous Tequilas that stand out in the crowded playing field.

As the years have progressed, the quality level has been raised by the producers.

Then what comes along, out of the blue (Blue Agave, that is) 'PARTIDA ANEJO Tequila'. Another notch higher than the rest and a new level of ANEJO Blue Agave Tequila.

Near PERFECTION for Anejo lovers..

PARTIDA is an ORGANIC, estate-grown 100% Blue Agave spirit that has it's own AGAVE fields, much like vineyards. The Agave is cultivated for 7 to 10 years until the PINAS are perfectly ripened with concentrated sugars, harvested by hand and then slowly baked in state-of-the-art stainless steel autoclaves to preserve the freshness of each agave.

It is a PERFECT MARRIAGE between age old TEQUILA TRADITIONS and cutting edge technology.

PARTIDA ANEJO TEQUILA is aged for 18 months in American oak barrels. I've been told that the barrels are one-pass oak Jack Daniels barrels , hence added layers of flavor.

The depth of PARTIDA"S flavor comes from ADVANCED AGING.

The result is "PURE NATURAL ESSENCE OF BLUE AGAVE".

The PARTIDA TEQUILA STORY:
+ PARTIDAS land lies in a Volcanic Valley of Mexico, which is now dormant.
+ The red, volcanic soil is the best possible soil for Agave growth.
+ Underneath the tips of the AGAVE plant lies the PINA.
+ The larger the PINA, the more mature the sugars.
+ State-of-the-Art stainless steel slow-cooking ovens bake the Agave versus the traditional stone ovens of the past decade.
+ Slow-cooking creates a smoother, cleaner, pure Agave taste.
+ Slow fermentation follows.
+ The Agave juices ferment for 36-40 hours, thus creating a high quality, raw spirit.
+ Distillation follows.
+ PARTIDA is twice distilled and aged in oak barrels for 18 months.

This process of slow-cooking, fermentation, distillation and oak barrel aging has made PARTIDA ANEJO TEQUILA unique.

The visual golden, amber, copper tones make way for fruity, earthy, floral aromas that stimulate the senses.
My palate was bathed in Agave flavor followed by a mixture of subtle hints of vanilla, honey, banana, pineapple, chocolate and smoke.
The smooth, long, fruity and somewhat smoky finish put a smile on my face.

After 15 years of sampling tequila, PARTIDA ANEJO TEQUILA has "SET THE BAR" on ANEJO Tequila's. At $69 a bottle, I believe that PARTIDA ANEJO is 'BEST IN CLASS'.

This is an amazing product that anejo tequila drinkers should try. I agree with the author that this product 'sets the bar'.

There is a secret with tequila that is sometimes too harsh. Add a drop of water to the tequila and smoothness appears.

Easily the best organic agave in the market.

This tequila is for everyone. Try it with sprite, like a drink. It's the way my girlfriends and I drink tequila. I am a novice tequila drinker and fell in love with the oak flavor that comes through. Make a drink of it or any tequila with sprite, trust me on this. Espolon's Anejo is actually very similar and half the price, but good luck finding Espolon Anejo, it must be on back order because I cannot locate it. If anyone has more info on Espolon Anejo please post because I'm going broke on $60 a week drinking Partida haha - worth it tho - honestly most amazing oaky flavor ever.
